Palm Springs, CA – At least 10 individuals sustained injuries on Saturday afternoon when a police officer lost control of his motorcycle, crashing into a festive crowd during a holiday event in Palm Springs, California.
The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at the Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade. According to a statement from the city, the accident unfolded along the parade route, where spectators had gathered to enjoy the celebrations.
City officials reported that ten people, including the officer, were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Witness accounts indicate that the officer was performing a trick on his motorcycle, which led to him losing control and severing his hand during the process. Unfortunately, the motorcycle continued on its path into the crowd without him.
