Madera, CA – A 67-year-old man from Madera was airlifted with serious injuries following a hit-and-run incident on Road 28, as confirmed by the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 5:42 p.m. on Monday evening, January 8, 2025, near Ellis Street in Madera.
According to reports, an unidentified vehicle heading north struck the pedestrian, who was also walking in a northbound direction. First responders discovered the victim lying in the street after the collision, but the driver fled the scene immediately and remains unaccounted for.
The man, a Hispanic resident of Madera, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno to receive medical attention for his injuries. Investigators are still working to establish whether the victim was located on the roadway or on the shoulder at the time of the incident.
