Stockton, CA (July 14, 2024) – Early on Sunday morning, a suspected drunk driving collision in Stockton resulted in the death of one victim.
A 22-year-old woman was broadsided by another car in the Lakeview District, close to Quail Lakes Drive and North Pershing Avenue, just before 1:00 a.m., according to the night report posted on Facebook by the watch commander of the Stockton Police Department.
After being taken to the hospital, the woman passed away from her injuries, per local police. The other driver, a 24-year-old woman, was suspected of driving under the influence. She is accused of two felonies: driving while intoxicated and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. However, no further details were released, and an investigation into the accident is still ongoing at this time.
