[02-02-2025] – Overturned Van Causes Traffic Disruption on I-80 East in Rocklin

Rocklin, CA — A single-vehicle accident involving a white van occurred early this morning on Interstate 80 East near the Sierra College Boulevard North on-ramp. The crash, reported at 12:24 a.m. on February 2, 2025, resulted in a minor injury collision.

Emergency responders arrived promptly to manage the scene and called for a tow truck to remove the overturned van. Witnesses mentioned the presence of another vehicle at the scene, though its involvement remains unclear.

The incident led to the temporary closure of the highway’s first lane, causing some traffic delays. Authorities worked efficiently to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow. By 1:27 a.m., the scene was cleared, and all lanes were reopened.

Motorists are reminded to exercise caution on highways, particularly during nighttime travel, to reduce the risk of similar accidents.
