Sacramento, CA (May 4, 2024) – A man is dead after he was hit by a car along Interstate 5 near Natomas on Saturday.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened just after 3:30 a.m. A Hyundai was traveling along the freeway near Arena Boulevard when it struck a man on the right-hand shoulder. The man was hit and launched into the air before landing in the center divider area, and officials say that he ultimately died from his injuries at the scene. According to CHP, the Hyundai driver was taken to a hospital for lacerations to the face. No further details have been released as an investigation remains ongoing.
