Sacramento, CA (October 2, 2024) – According to the latest information provided by California Highway Patrol troopers, a crash pushed a car into a canal, sending three people to the hospital on Tuesday.
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said that crews responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash on Elk Grove Florin Road near Bridalsmith Drive around 5:00 p.m. The fire district said crews arrived and found that one of the vehicles involved in the crash was in a canal, and an adult and two children needed to be extracted from the car.
Officials said one person was taken to the hospital with major injuries and the two children were taken to the hospital with minor or moderate injuries. Two occupants in the other vehicle refused transport to the hospital, the fire district said. In the meantime, authorities have not said what led to the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
