Sacramento, CA (July 6, 2024) – A woman has died after she was struck by a big rig along a busy North Sacramento area street on Friday.
The incident happened just before 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Fulton Avenue and the Alta Arden Expressway. California Highway Patrol says a woman was trying to cross the crosswalk at the same time that a semi-truck was turning right onto Fulton Avenue. She was then hit and critically injured, officers say. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP says, though her name has not been released. Officers remained at the scene through the morning to investigate. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to call local officials as their inquiry proceeds.
