Sacramento, CA (April 10, 2024) – On Wednesday night in Sacramento County, three people were injured when a vehicle allegedly ran a stoplight and collided with the California Highway Patrol.
Around 8:00 p.m., the incident occurred near Madison Avenue and Jackson Street in North Highlands. According to CHP, the suspect ran a red light and collided with another vehicle northbound on Jackson Street. After colliding with a second vehicle, they continued driving and pulled over to a nearby parking lot.
CHP stated that a woman in one of the vehicles suffered a broken leg and that a passenger from one of the cars was also hurt and hospitalized. Officials from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District reported that a total of three individuals were transported to the hospital; however, the details surrounding the remaining victims are unknown. No further details were released, but an investigation is ongoing, and citations may be forthcoming, per police.
