Sacramento, CA (June 25, 2024) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol stated that a person was killed and two others injured early Tuesday morning after a car became engulfed in flames in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento County.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene on northbound Business 80 near the on-ramp for Fulton Avenue around 4:15 a.m. Two passengers were able to escape the crash, while one of the drivers involved was pronounced dead on the scene. The two passengers, a woman and a man, were taken to the hospital with major injuries and burns, according to dispatcher radio communications. However, no further details were released in connection to the crash’s cause, which remains under active investigation at this time. Witnesses were asked to contact the CHP right away.
