Folsom, CA (April 2, 2024) – Following a collision on Folsom’s East Bidwell Street on Monday, a pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Det. Andrew Graham, a spokesman for the Folsom Police Department, a car struck a 67-year-old man on the street between Orchard Road and Montrose Road just after 5:00 p.m. Graham said the collision was not a hit-and-run. The motorist remained on the scene, and Graham added that the department’s major accident response team (MART) was looking into the incident and what caused it. The MART is still interviewing witnesses.

We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased victim’s family.
