Hayward, CA – Late Sunday night, an accident involving two vehicles led to injuries on SR-84 East, just west of the toll plaza, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident occurred around 11:34 p.m. and involved a minivan alongside a second vehicle.
Initial accounts suggested that the minivan was obstructing a lane, with a male passenger in a wheelchair trapped inside due to the damaged doors. Emergency responders arrived promptly to provide assistance to the injured individual. At this time, the extent of the injuries remains undisclosed.
To clear the scene, authorities summoned a tow service, and by 1:27 a.m., the vehicle was successfully removed from the roadway. The CHP is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
