Cajon Pass,CA – An accident on the I-15 freeway in Cajon Pass resulted in injuries to a motorcyclist on Friday afternoon. The collision occurred around 4:30 PM on December 13, 2024, specifically in the northbound lanes of the I-15, just north of the 215 interchange.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved both a U-Haul truck and a motorcycle, which caused the second and third lanes to become blocked. A passenger in a gray Honda Civic alerted dispatch, stating that the motorcycle collided with the carโs mirror before it fell.
The U-Haul truck eventually stopped along the right-hand shoulder, while the Honda Civic was positioned in the center divider. Witnesses at the scene reported that the motorcyclist remained conscious but was experiencing pain after the impact.
The aftermath of the incident led to the temporary closure of all northbound lanes, resulting in significant traffic delays stretching for miles. By 5:10 PM, CHP confirmed that all lanes had reopened, although the first lane remained closed for further investigation.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
