Woodland, CA – A bicyclist was tragically killed early Wednesday morning following a collision with a tractor on County Road 29 near Highway 113, just outside of Woodland. The fatal incident occurred on March 26, 2025, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Emergency crews from Woodland Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the collision. First responders attempted life-saving measures but were unable to revive the bicyclist, who was pronounced deceased on-site.
Authorities stated that the bicyclist had been riding in the designated bike lane at the time of the crash. Preliminary findings suggest that the tractor driver may not have been aware of the cyclistโs presence. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.
The victimโs identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
