Fairfield, CA โ A three-vehicle crash caused major traffic delays on Interstate 80 East near the Air Base Parkway Off-Ramp this afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:59 PM, involving a white Chevy Traverse, a blue Cadillac sedan, and a blue Subaru WRX.
Two to three eastbound lanes were temporarily blocked, severely affecting afternoon commuters heading through Solano County. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries have been reported so far.
Emergency units quickly arrived on the scene, managing traffic and working to secure the area. The Subaru WRX was able to leave under its own power, while the Chevy Traverse and the Cadillac sedan had to be towed due to damage.
Responders reopened all lanes by 4:07 PM, restoring the normal flow of traffic. Authorities advised drivers earlier to use alternate routes to avoid delays during the cleanup operation.
โWe’re grateful no one was seriously injured in this multi-vehicle crash,โ said a local officer. โDrivers should continue to stay alert and cautious on this stretch of I-80.โ
