Sacramento, CA (May 12, 2024) – According to authorities, one person was pulled from a burning house on Friday and subsequently hospitalized.
Per the Sacramento Fire Department, crews responded to the fire on Amapola Way near Ardwell Way around 3:15 p.m. Three people were inside the house when the fire started, including a 12-year-old child. The fire department said a woman was ultimately pulled out of the single-story house suffering from smoke inhalation. Officials said the fire started on an exterior fence and tree and then extended into the attic. However, the fire department is investigating what happened prior to the blaze, and authorities did not release further details in the interim.
